Looking at your lineage, we have a common ancestor in NOEL FULTON MCFADDEN. In my lineage, there seems to be some confusion about his immediate family. My grandmother (Mabel McFadden Pirtle) had him listed as her father, but from what I can find, he was her brother! Do you have any information on his parents, siblings, first wife etc.? Here is what my grandmother had written: NOAH MCFADDEN b.1800 ?, Kentucky married Sarah Catherine Albright b. 1804 ?, Kentucky JAMES L. MCFADDEN b.1838 ?, Indiana married Julia America Redman b. 1837 NOAH F. MCFADDEN b. 1862 Indiana married Margaret Noel b. 1864 HOWEVER: What I have found differs! It appears Noah was her oldest brother and he may have taken his much younger siblings for a while when JAMES and America died within a short time of each other. I have found records of Noah's second wife but nothing on his first wife. I have also found records that my grandmother's parents were indeed James and America NOT Noah and Margaret. If you can shed any light on the situation, I would be thrilled! Thanks! wendy
