I can't imagine an Aldridge/Alldredge (b. 1825 in Posey County) stating that her father was born in Ohio. The Aldridges/Alldredges came from North Carolina.

I would agree. Seems rather odd. Also she ends up in Victoria, Illinois in the vicinity of the others who came from Posey, IN. All indications I have seen of Aldridge's who were in Indiana and on to Illinois show ties back to NC. And how did he get a wife out of Missouri? One thought is the father could have been born in Ohio as the family possibly migrated by way of the Ohio River. Does anyone on the Posey list know of any Aldridge/Aldredge/Alldredge born in Ohio? I better start digging thru the old Posey censuses again.
