Stewartsville shows the following family: WEISGERBER, Godfrey, Caroline, Lena, Harriet, Elizabeth, Edward and Mary. Mary was 7 months old and was born in Germany. 1) Does anyone have any information about this family 2) How did people usually travel there from Germany? To New Orleans and up the rivers? If so, how long would that trip take? 3) Any ideas on how to proceed with a search for them? I know that they bought a farm In Ionia County MI in 1865 but that leaves a 5 year gap.
