My husbands grandfather was Jesse Floyd Stallings born in Turman Arkansas his father was Reuben Thomas Stallings born in Francisco, Indiana and his father was William Stallings who was possibly born in NC we don't know. We also do not know William's wife. William was possibly in Posey county before 1864. If anyone can help us we would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Sue, Can you supply birth and death dates for any of your Stallings metioned? Maybe we can help you piece this together. I am a descendant of Wright Stallings who was married 3 times. "Melia" Stallings was his dtr. She is also referred to in other documents as Permelia, Pamelia, Amelia and America.
