I imagine that they are thinking that someone wants a certified title search. Most courthouses nationwide will not spend the time to do the research locate ownership that far back in time. They will, however, open the records to the researcher to do the work. I have found the courthouse personnel at Posey Co. to be most helpful everytime that I have researched there. They just don't have the people to do historical research, and I doubt that the taxpayers would pay for it either. Just some ramblings for you. Glenn
