Thanks to everyone who responded. I now realize the way I worded my letter to the Posey Co Recorder's office sounded like I wanted a title search. With your help I have reworded my letter to obtain only the minimal information I need. Thank you for your help! Wanda Pitt

Does anyone have any information about Donovan's in Posey County? I am researching Robert Davidson who married Emma Donovan (age-15) in Posey County, January of 1850. The 1850 Census for Posey County (taken in July) list Robert, Wife Emma along with Alice Davidson age-6 (maybe from previous marriage?) along with Rachel Donovan age-58. This family is next found in Union County Ky in 1853. I have found a birth record for Rachel Donovan in 1792 (in Posey County)through LDS but I cannot find any other info on any Donovans in Posey. Does anyone know who or what The Davidson County Rangers were. Does anyone know who and what Lieut Walkers Rangers were. Both are shown as for The territory South of The Ohio, so Iassume they were a band of Peace keepers or Indian Fighters due the time period. I am seeking information on a George NUTTERFIELD who signed on as a private in 1792. Where were they formed? Where did they recruit. I do know that George settled in Shelby Co, Ky as early as 1790. I am seeking any information. George is shown on FTM records as Revolutionary War 1780-1789, but, the only record I have, so far is with the 2 above units. I asume that the Davidson County referred is Davidson County Tn, as I dont know of another at that time. Or, it could have been the home of Lt Walker. I have tried Ky archives and Nashville archives, But, my experience is very Limited on records like these, so I probably didnt do it right.I have been seeking info on George for about 30 years, so, naturally, I would be thrilled and appreciative for any info.George is also shown as George NUTTERFEE/NUTTER, on various records, and married Nancy Stepp McWilliams June 1804 in Shelby Co Ky. I am still looking for John HUTCHINSON, born about 1795 in Vermont (one census says New Hampshire), but I now have new information. I have received the death certificate for Ira HUTCHINSON, John's youngest son. I now have the maiden name of John's wife: Lydia Ann FULLER. However, like all new clues, it seems there are a few discrepencies. From several census records Lydia Ann's birthplace was listed as PA. But on the death certificate, Lydia's birthplace is given as KY!! Can I assume that this is because their oldest son was born in KY and the informant, the youngest son, Ira's son, just knew that the family had come from KY? Anyway, John HUTCHINSON and Lydia FULLER had the following children: Elisha, b. abt 1839 in KY, died 1908 or 1909 John, b. abt 1841 in IL William H., b. abt 1842 in IL Sarah, b. abt 1844 in IL Alexander, b. abt 1846 in IL Susan, b. Dec 1848 in IL or KY Ira H., b. June 1851 in IN, died 1926 I can't find them before the Hardin Co IL 1860 census (and they weren't there in 1870). Can't find anybody anywhere in 1870, but some sources indicate that John and son Elisha were in the "swamps of Missouri" at this time. Ira's family was in Hardin Co., IL in 1880 and then in Saline Co., IL in all later censuses. No idea where John and Lydia were married, but it seems like it would have been Kentucky. Don't have counties of birth for anybody. Family settled in Harrisburg eventually. Any ideas or connections? Kathryne
