The Lot H. Bell and William Penn Bradley families probably moved to Franklin Co., IL about 1855 as Lot and Mariah had a 4 year old child born in IL according to the 1860 Franklin Co., IL Census. In going through the 1850 Census for Posey Co. Lucretia was not listed with any of the associated families: Cully. West, Barton, Moore, etc. Did find Isabella listed with the Wm. J. Lowery family. James, I am so excited to talk to you! I have been curious to find out where the Edmonds family came from before settling in Posey Co. William H. H. Edmonds was good friends with my Phillips family. In fact I have a copy of a letter he wrote to Benjamin Phillips in Texas in 1874 written from Henderson KY. Wm and Samuel Edmonds entered land in Posey Co, IN 1837. In the letter William says his daughters live in New Harmony and he has 6 grandchildren there. He mentions dtr Sallie. He has not heard from the one (dtr?) that lives in Sanduskey Ohio nor his two sons who live in MO or his oldest son who lives in Henderson (I think this is KY) who is a carpenter and a widow whose wife died the 3 of June 1873. The oldest son expects to marry a lady who lives in Evansville, IN and is a niece of Benona Stinson, a Preacher. He also mentions that his son-in-law is the editor and C.W. Sharpe is publisher (at a newspaper?) in IN where he is going to send Ben Phillips' letter to be published. I'm sure this is some help you. It is especially helpful to me to know William was born in 1812 and in Posey Co about the same time my Phillips settled there. I am wondering if they came to Posey Co together. I would be happy to exchange info. Feb. 1841 has proven heirs of William Jr., Aaron, Elihu, Ensley, and Mrs. R. McFadden...included many books. It is a very small community. My family lives in Evansville Indiana and we have an annual picnic in New Harmony Indiana. On my way to New Harmony I drive through Farmersville. Here is the way I go: Hwy 62 West from Evansville to Mt. Vernon. Then turn North on Hwy 69 (aka Main St.). You pass through Farmersville on this road. Two of Lewis Wilson's (b. pre 1800, d. 1850 in Posey Co.) children married Stallings. Daughter Polly (Mary) married Henry Stallings on Oct. 12, 1822 and son David married Sabina Stallings on Sept. 7, 1822. Additionally, two grandchildren of Lewis's other children married Stallings. I would be happy to share what info. I have on the Stallings and am especially interested in the Henry who married Polly (Marry) Wilson.

Am researching my husband's ancentors. George DICKHAUT listed in 1860 and 1870 fed census in Posey County ,Robinson twp. 1870 census listed him as 50 years of age, born in Prussia. I believe he may be the father of Henry Dickhaut (my husbands grandfather) born 1856 died 1936. Henry was in Posey county until about 1890 when he moved to Evansville. In Evansville records the spelling of the name was changed to DICKHART. I am trying to determine if this George is the father of Henry. I know Henry had one sister who was living with him at the time of his death. Do not have her name although I believe she was never married.
