Hi, I am descended from Simon Williams through John and Heneritta Johnson; John and Elisabeth Creek, Jacob and Elizabeth Gibbs, Lewis and Julia Ewing, my parents Herschel and Maud Welborn Williams. Many researchers of this family have led me to believe that Simon's wife was Mary "Polly" Bennett but we have never found a marriage, etc. There is a researcher in the Posey area working on Crabtrees but I can;t come up with her name right now. Cox printed 1993 - p. 15-16 Joseph Price also served as a County commissioner in early Posey County. During the late 1830 era Gillison, Larkin and Nancy Jolly make a legal statement saying they are his only legal heirs leaving out the children of Thompson, Elizabeth, and Esther. Gillison, Larking and Esther left Posey County and went to Wayne Co., IL. But....in browsing through FamilyTree Maker...I found reference to World Family Tree volume 4....and if you look there you will find Larkin and his ancestors (with notes!!) back to his grandfather Benjamin from England who was a commoner but married Lady Mary Elizabeth who was of the nobility...apparently they had to elope. Benjamin & Lady Elizabeth were among the first 80 families to settle in Hunterdon Co., NJ!! So, you have a very interesting family history!!! Good luck researching more.... Sorry, but I cannot help with the Borah connection....

I am a descendant of their son Larkin, and I have been searching for YEARS to find his family! All I knew was his wife's name, and I had even begun to think I must have that wrong, because I couldn't find anything about her or them. But now, hooray! Do you know anything else about Larkin? I only know of one daughter, my g-g-grandmother Sophronia Ellen Price, b. 1845. She married William Shannon in Wayne County, IL in 1863. Also, do you know of any connection of the Prices with the Borah family? My grandmother once mentioned the name Borah in connection with Sophronia. Grandma was not a genealogy researcher, so she had retained that name in her memory for many years, and I've never been able to figure out why. I have explored the Borah family from Kentucky to Wayne County, and they indeed would have known the Prices there, but I haven't been able to establish a genealogical connection. Hope to hear more from you! Again, thanks so much for shedding some light on this subject! Bless the public message boards! :) Anne (Shannon) Riekenberg
