There are lots of laws pretaining to cemeteries that have grey areas, laws that need changed, and new laws that need to be written. And some that need defined, or at least an opinion of the State Attorney General on exactly what they mean. A good example is the law that you refer to. Does "Public" refer to a cemetery known as a "Public Cemetery" as defined by law, or does it also include cemeteries cared for by County and Township Government? The INPCRP has several members that work hard every year on new cemetery legislation, and have been successful with some laws. It is difficult to get legislators and hearing committes to listen to proposals concerning abandoned cemeteries, my hat's off to them for what they have accomplished so far. We need more people like you to write some legislators to convince that we are not a minority and laws need to be changed! Ernie
