This question is for Sue -- is there a list available which shows the known Hoosiers who died there during the Gold Rush? It would be interesting to see who they are and where they're from. Thanks. Hi Donna, Not to my knowledge - at least not statewide. In our county we are doing Interment Identification Listings and compiling old tombstone inventories, news death notices and obituaries, church records, etc. We also pull all the census information on the families, and in this way we are able to identify (for the most part) where are deceased pioneers came from. Eventually it would be nice to be able to have a complete database with this information so it could be manipulated by that type of variable. Hmmm...just another project....ack!
