Thanks guys, We've installed all the footstones next to the headstone we have fixed. There may be a few footstone that can stand, but most are only tops or pieces left. There is no way we will find anymore stones. We have worked over the whole mound. And the rest of this land that was set aside was totally plowed down. Never hear of footstone bases. We might just create a long base box for these pieces. Sure don't want to leave these leftover just laying around. They might end up back out in the field again. No one's tombstone is in an original location. This is just a memorial from what we could find and fix. Good discussions going. Wish we couldn't figure out an annual meeting of the minds.
