Hi List: What are the methods y'all use for cleaning stones in order to read inscriptions. What type of permissions does one have to get to clean ancestors stones but stones which are located on plots that I do not have direct ownership of. The cemetery I want to do this work on is in NW Illinois--the major impediment is hard encrusted lichen and the stones are 1850-11890 era--the stones themselves are in good shape. Larry Leahy Muncie >
