Micki, Walt and Danny and all, Thanks again so much for your offer. My wife spoke with Suzanne Findley, the director of the Franklin Parks Dept. (the controlling dept. of the cemetery) to get any permission we needed. She seemed quite relieved that someone was willing to do something. She said we have permission, though she has to contact the people last listed as contacts for each burial and run it by the parks board. As long as the board doesn't object we have permission to fix any stone damaged unless the contact person says no for a particular stone. Suzanne is making all the necessary calls. I am going to send a press release to the local paper, the Indianapolis Star and the TV news stations in Indy. Channel 13 did a story on it the other night. This would make a good follow up. I will also solicit volunteers from other sources. The 10th and 11th are fine. Let me know what time is best for you to start. This will be an all-volunteer effort as the parks dept. doesn't have the money for it, the grounds crew is afraid to break something further and their insurance wont cover it. Anyone on this list that would like to help let me know and I'll add you to the list of volunteers. I can be contacted off list at [email protected] Thanks to all, Brad Manzenberger -----Original Message----- From: Brad Manzenberger [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, July 01, 2004 7:51 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [INPCRP] What cemetery was hit last night? Walt, Danny Faris, and I can come to Greenlawn Cemetery on July 10 & 11 with every thing needed to repair and reset large stones. If this date does not work, let us know when you plan on doing the repairs. Micki ==== INPCRP Mailing List ==== Scott Satterthwaite < [email protected] > is the INPCRP State Coordinator.
