Hello List, I just received a message from Scott Satterthwaite turning state coordinator responsibilities over to me. I will begin updating the web site as soon as possible and we can go from there. Thank you, Brad Manzenberger -----Original Message----- From: Theresa Berghoff [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, July 15, 2004 11:39 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [INPCRP] project status Website- Brad is still waiting to hear from Scott about becoming coordinator of the website.
In response to the question about the status of the Mariah Creek Baptist church and cemetery: A Star reporter, Ruth Holladay, (apparently an acquaintance of Lee Creed) did make initial contact here and request information about the Knox County cemetery problem back around the end of June. General information about this and other Knox County cemeteries was forwarded to the reporter. I suggested that the Star should make every effort to interview the Knox County Cemetery Commissioners as well as other local informants who have more knowledge about the contemporary history of the Maria Creek cemetery site, and it's ongoing destruction prior to recent intervention by the DHPA. Maybe Jon Andrews or someone else from Knox County knows more? I certainly hope we don't let the Knox County cemetery issues die on the vine.
