    3. Just a point of interest for me, Does anyone know if the Fiberglass, metal tipped pole is as good or do as good of a job as the all metal pole? I see by their descriptions that they are designed for the same general purpose. If they are both equal in performance. I am drawn to the fiberglass tile probe due to price and weight. Thank You. 3. From my experience, I bought 2 fiberglass soil probes from Grangers on W. 16th St. in Indy, they were $24. each, and used one and gave the other to John Walters, when he was restoring Crows Nest cemetery. It's shaft is wider than a steel probe and you have to use it at an angle for good leverage, and you can pick up vibrations in the pole that tells you a lot about what`s underground, but Walt didn`t like it as well as his thinner steel probes. I believe a welder friend made his. I think the fiberglass poles are for people working around areas where buried cables may be hidden.
