Thanks Rhonda. This is a great article. I called WFYI & asked to be notified when the segment will air on "Communities Building Community". Mrs. O'Bannon is a long time historic preservationist, so it's wonderful to have her involved. This could be a springboard for your lobbying campaign for the next legislative session. Perhaps Mrs. O'Bannon could be persuaded to serve as an honorary spokesperson for INPCRP volunteers. You might also wish to consider getting permission to video tape this episode, make copies and send them to all the legislators.... Thanks for the info. I did talk to another person on the commission, and as with most old cemeteries, there is alot of contraversy. It was vandalized several years ago, and the kid who did it, was to make restatution, but never did. It just so happens, that his dad was the Police Chief at the time, and basically it was all swept under the rug. So, the commission doesn't want to work on the cemetery until someone makes the kid pay for the damages, which we know, will never happen. I may write to this Ranny and see what he thinks. This sounds like more information for Ruth Halloday's column. Another instance of the law not being enforced. Theresa [email protected] wrote: Thanks for the info. Why not try petitioning the District Attorney now with requests for severe prosecution coming in from all over the state? Maybe then the DA's will know they are not working in a vacuum and may be less likely to let things like this slide under the radar. I'm absolutely dying to find out how this turns out, if arrests are imminent then its going to be interesting to see if this lingers as little more than B misdemeanor. I bet they get receive a public defender, consume lots of tax money and practically walk away. I trust you will keep track of this. I realize that vandals strike at lots of things, but gravestones ought to be the crime that gets them some very handed treatment. Lee Creed Greencastle

I was finally able to get to the web-site tonight. I don't know why, I didn't do anything different. It looks really great. Brad, Thank You so much for taking on this project. This will be very helpful in current efforts to tackle the cemeteries on the Hall of Shame and when we go to the next session of the Legislature. And Scott, Thank You for starting the INPCRP.
