Mary was the 5th child of Samuel & Sarah (Langdon) Beaman & she married John Parish. Sarah was the daughter of James & Patty (Stevenson) Langdon. Her father, Samuel, was the son of Francis Beaman. Francis came to Owen Co. from Montgomery Co. NC in 1823-24 and settled in Morgan Twp where Francis died in 1827. Samuel later settled in Jackson Twp.
