Judy and all, > Owen Co Marriage book lists marriage of John Wesley Arney and Mabel Bowen in > 1846. Is the online version of "Indiana Marriages Through 1850 " from a different source? On the Indiana State Library Genealogy Division website, it shows John Wesley ARNEY marrying Mable BEVAN in Owen on 9-1-1846. I wonder if BOWEN could have been misread and typed as BEVAN, although there are 11 Bevans listed there. I don't see any John or Wesley Arney there marrying any Bowen. Another listing for John W. ARNEY shows him marrying #2, Rebecca FISCUS in Owen 8-15-1850. If this is the same John Wesley, perhaps Mable did die before John BOWEN, Sr., and that's why she is not mentioned in the will. If BEVAN is correct, why would the Arney child be in the will?
