Bloomington (IN) Telephone, Apr 2, 1912, p. 1. A sad and unexpected death at 6:30 o'clock this morning was that of Mrs. Delmar Beattie, wife of the cabman, whose demise occurred at the home on South Lincoln Street after only a five-day's illness with liver trouble. Mrs. Beattie was much admired by all her many friends and was the leader in many entertainments given for charity and for the lodges to which she belonged. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Pocahontas, the Women's Relief Corrps and three years ago organized the local Woodmen's Circle. Mrs. Florence Madiville (sic) Beattie was 28 years of age and the daughter of Lyman and Anna Ladiville (sic), deceased, of Owen County. A devoted husband, and one son, Delmar Beattie, Jr., mourn her death. There are two half brothers, William Hollick, of Bedford, and Dow Hollick. Funeral from the residence Wednesday at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. White.
