    1. Re: [INOWEN] Searching for Clark Skinner b.1794 KY's family
    2. Dick, Thanks for the input about KY and the route to IN.....I love all these little tidbits that I keep getting , that I had no idea about....and I agree about the relationships of areas for that time period....I've found it lot. Sorry to say.....most of what I know about the Bowen family is what I already printed....just happened to see the name and started checking my line out to see if it was one of them or not. You gave me more than I had on her so that's great. Sorry I don't know anymore to be able to answer your question. Thanks again, N.J. : ) in MI. -----------original message-------------- << N.J. Considering the times, it is not uncommon for there to be multiple relationships between families. Thomas Ooley's wife was a Crockett. He was born abt. 1793 in Green County, KY; Margaret Emeline Crockett was b. abt. 1796 in Anderson County, TN. They were married in Owen County, IN about 1827 or so. Green Co. is not that far from Rockcastle and Garrard Co.'s considering that during the early 1800's Lexington was the main market center for that region. And also many Kentuckians went on to IN. You have more on Ora Bowen's family than I currently have. My cousin Sharon never did much research on John's other families. However I do have a note on a distant relation James Howe of VA and later Clinton Co., Ohio. His son Micheal Tetherow Howe b. Dec 21, 1814 prob in Clinton Co. married a Ann Bowen. Do not know if there is a connection to your Bowen family. Dick S. >>
