Greetings Listers, My name is James Rader and I am currently researching my mother's maiden name DICKEY. Her father, Arthur DICKEY, was born Feb. 02, 1895 possibly near the town of Patricksburg in Marion Twp., Owen county, Indiana. His DICKEY ancestors first settled in the Marion township area of Owen county with the migration of his great-grandparents, Emanuel and Mary Magdalenah (MISHLER) DICKEY from Tuscarawas county, Ohio about 1851. To date, I have been unsuccessful in finding Arthur's birth record. Arthur's parents are Eli Ervin DICKEY, b. 1874; d. 1930, and Catherine (Cassie) RED or REID, m. Feb 28, 1893. Arthur DICKEY died on May 11, 1973 in Fremont, Ohio. I would welcome any help in locating Arthur's birth record or any other information about his family.
