Hello Owen County, Can anyone help me by telling me where I need to go to get the hard copy records and can anyone do look ups on any of these names? I think I am close to a breakthrough. cj I don't know exactly what you mean by "the hard copies" and any searching you would be doing for any of these persons would be in the county that those events occurred in be it birth, death, marriage. Any marriages occurring in IN prior to 1850 can be found at the IN state library website. http://www.statelib.lib.in.us/www/indiana/genealogy/mirr.html Any cemetery records would be kept either in the library of the state where that cemetery is, or in the county or the cemetery itself. In asking for anyone to do any lookups on those persons, I would suspect that you would need to get a little specific in your needs. Most records were handled on a county basis. cj In the Indiana State Library marriage index, there are 9 different listings for the name BUSBY in Rush county IN. You might look and see if there are any matches. Type in the name BUSBY but don't specify a county and you will receive all that are statewide.
