Kathy, I can't help much but Mary Arthur b. abt 1851, died Jan 20, 1901, married Aug 9, 1875 to John C. H. Norris was distant kin to my family. Rueben Arther (Arter) married ? Johnson, son Thomas A. married Julia Ann Johnson. Mary was one of their children. Julia was a descendent of Jacob Light and Ann Russel through their son Mathias Light and Mary Catherine Moore and their daughter Hester Ann who married James Johnson. Mary Arthur was my 2nd Cousin 4 times removed. Also after Mary's mother died her father married my great grandaunt Sarah Bigger Ritter a widow about thirty years his junior. Several of my cousins in Illinois and Indiana have closer ties to the Arthur's and maybe the Johnson's. John C. is the only Norris listed in my database but I'm sure that some one out there has more on the Norris, Scott, Moore and Courtney connections.
