Owen County List: I have a scanned version of the class picture for the first grade at the Freedom Elementary School for the class year 1924-1925. It includes my father, Robert Felts. He is currently 81 and can recall the name of only one classmate, Lester LINTON (sp). I'd be happy to share this with anyone who contacts me at rjfelts@email.msn.com. There are 21 students and 1 teacher in the picture. The picture was taken by Harry Beck, a local photographer. My father was born in Indianapolis but spent a few years in the Freedom area from about 1921 to 1925. He lived with his mother, Ruby, and her adoptive parents Charles BRADBURN and Emma MESSICK (BRADBURN) somewhere near "the Beck farm." I'm currently researching the MESSICK surname.
