    1. Re: [INOWEN] Ever hear of the "Ohio House"??

    3. Thanks, Suzanne Brayer, for the explanation of the "tavern" of its time. I am hoping someone who knows Owen County history will know something about this Ohio House, or have read about it. I really would love to know if it can be tied to the Criss family. As I said before, I was dubious about some of the info in the document - for example, it starts out by saying that William Criss and Nancy France were born in Sweinburg, Germany, and married there, then emigrated to America. But in the 1850 and 1860 censuses, they say they were born in Virginia and Pennsylvania respectively. So, I would love some proof that the Ohio House had something to do with them, or even that someone remembers it, or remembers their grandparents talking about it. Laura E.
