About nicknames....no they don't have to match the given names....not even today. I had a cousin who passed away this year and his name was Grafton Hardey and his nickname was Bert...go figure. I know how he got the nickname, but if you didn't, you wouldn't ever associate the two together as being the same person. Tooties also seems to be a common nickname even now. Hubby has a cousin who goes by Tooties even today. I never have asked her where she came up with that one....LOL, I guess I should. Hugs, Cheryl
