I have seen the name written Glitz and Giltz. I think they refer to the same family. My family told me it was Glitz, but when I found the records, most of the time it was spelled Giltz. Kathryn (Kate) Giltz b Sep 1858 d aft 1941. married John Clinton Fogle in 1878. I have been looking for her parents. I THINK they are Aaronrich and Catherine, b in Germany, but am not sure. I do know that her parents were born in Germany and her mother only spoke German. Her siblings are: Barbara b 1851 m Louie Halfner Jacob b 1852 Elizabeth John P b Oct 1858 who married Effie Slack and Anise E Brown- They had at least 3 children, Fred, Bernice, and a child that died before 1900. I don't have any children listed for Effie. Fred married Mazo Stoker and had at least one child, Stanley E. I also find a Christian b 1834 and a Christina b 1836 that I haven't been able to place. I believe that this is a husband/wife couple. They were living in the same township as the others in the 1870 census, but in a different household. Let me know if you have any matches. Thanks. to the best of my knowledge and this is not my line but lived in Clay Co Sarah (Sadie) Crosley married Kenneth Glitz. after she had a dauther out of wedlock.. the daugther would have been born in July 4, around 1912.. and is now deceased and was reared a Crosley as an adopted child of her grandparents... The family may have lived near Jordan Village for a short time.. On Sun, 5 Nov 2000 21:12:14 -0700 "Loretta Teeters" <loretta@magiclink.com> writes: >I have seen the name written Glitz and Giltz.
