According to the migration schedule, a John CARTER migrated from Spencer Co., Ky., by way of Nelson Co., Ky., before 1840, and settled in Montgomery Twp.,(later Taylor Twp) Owen Co, In. He is found next door to Nancy Nutterfield, whose daughter Eliza, he married about 1830. He had a "Deaf & Dumb" brother Job, born about 1807. Could he be the John Carter Jr., who married in Boone Co., Ky to Elizabeth Carter, in 1829??? Could his parents be one of the following Johns who married in Nelson Co Ky.....
