We are still hoping to find the mother of 2nd great-grandmother Jane BOWEN (BOEN, BONE, BANE) b. January 08, 1815 in Ohio. She came to Owen in 1824 with her parents, mother's name unknown, and father John BOWEN, Sr. b. November 27, 1788 in PA. John is buried in Abrell Cemetery, Franklin Twp, Owen Co. John's wife was probably born bet. 1790 - 1800 based on the 1840 census of Franklin Twp, Owen Co. She does not appear on the 1850 census with John. Some of the children were born in Ohio, possibly Warren Co. They intermarried with the FISCUS, HICKS, HAUSER, ARNEY, PUGH/PEW, CHILDRESS, PHILBERT/FILBERT, and possibly BULL. On September 27, 1832, Jane Bowen married Jacob FISCUS at Dutch Bethel Church in Owen. Jacob was b. January 09, 1805 in NC. He was the son of John Adam FISCUS b. November 15, 1775 in NC, and Anna Catharina ARNEY b. November 25, 1779 in NC.
