Mary Susan Duncan was born October 12, 1856 possibly in Morgan county IN as the place stated in her son's marriage application. She married Morris CARTER (son of John) b. 7-26-1851 on October 15, 1873 in Putnam county IN. Mary died on December 30, 1930 in Stinesville, Monroe county IN. Although my above references are Morgan and Monroe counties, I am of the thought that she was descended from the line of Freborn & Charity (Johns) Dunkin of Owen county through one of their many children. Several of their sons didn't remain in Owen county, but migrated to Morgan and Putnam counties. I am also looking a William L who was the son of Freborn and Charity and who married Martha Lloyd, however, I am open for any suggestions at all. Does anyone have a Duncan/Dunkin family who may have had a daughter Mary born in 1856??
