    1. Re: [INOWEN] Researching Owen Co., 1853, McKEE, PAGE, LONGSDARFF
    2. Hello Group: There must have been a number of families that moved to Owen/Morgan County, Indiana, c. 1830 from Pulasky and Green County, Kentucky. My g.g.g. grandparents were Thomas and Anna Bastin Langwill and family seem to have been one of those families. Anna Bastin Langwell (Languell, etc., etc.) was the daughter of Thomas and Hannah Brockman Bastin and she was probably born in Caswell or Rockingham County, North Carolina, or Pittsylvania County, Virginia, about 1777. I believe Hannah Brockman was the daughter of John and Mary Collins Brockman. Another daughter of John and Mary Brockman was Rachel, who married a Page. I believe he was a minister of the gospel. Anna Bastin Langwell's brother John Bastin and some of his children also came to Indiana and John settled in Monroe County. I believe John Bastin married Pricilla Baldwin, daughter of Henry, c. 1799 in North Carolina. Anyone recognize any of these names? Nell

    1. [INOWEN] John B. and Minnie M. (Beaman) Jones
    2. I'm searching for information about the family of John B. and Minnie M. (Beaman) Jones. John and Minnie were married in Owen County 23 Dec 1875. Minnie, born about 1858-59, was the daughter of Alvin and Winnie (Langdon) Beaman. 1880 census shows them in Jennings Township with two children, Oscar and Jesse M. 1900 census lists Minnie and probably her last child, Hallie V., age 5, in Greencastle. Minnie reported being married, and of 9 children born to her, 6 were living. But John was not with them. By 1920 Minnie reported being a widow, and was living with Hallie and her second husband in Greencastle. A John B. Jones, age 63, died in Cloverdale in 1915. Was this Minnie's husband? Who were Minnie's other children? Glorianne

    3. To those researching the Truax family. It is such an unusual name (to me at least) that I thought I might pass the following name and email address. Kevin O'Brien and family are researching that line in New York, Ohio, Minnesota (where I noticed the query) and elsewhere. Kevin O'Brien, email: User683614@aol.com R.W. 1. [INOWEN] To Post a Successful Query for a Roll Call
    2. Debbie Jennings
    3. There have been many questions this evening as to how exactly to post a query for a list. The most successful I have found is to include the name of the person, and pertinent info such as birth, marriage, death, children, burial that you may have. Also the known locality of that person during a given time period. This all for identification purposes so someone can match up with it and help you. Something on the order of this: I am searching for John SMITH born 1798 in MD. He married Jane BROWN sometime in 1820 in Anne Arundel county. We think they migrated to Nelson county KY around 1825. They had 3 known children, all sons. They might be more. I can find nothing on this family after 1850 and they were in Washington county IN at that time. I hope this is of help to some of you who had the questions.
