Everyone please be considerate of the kind offer by Pat to do the lookups. I have done lookups myself and know that it is a very large task. When asking for the lookups, please accept what she is sending with no further questioning. I have noticed several postings inquiring if this is all that was found, with several answers from Pat saying the same thing, "All that was found was sent". This is a big enough task for her I am certain without having to go back and recount each one. The Cole that I am researching is John Cole b. 1820 in Tennessee. He married Elizabeth (?). The father of John Cole was William Cole b. 1782 in North Carolina. He married Nancy Luther b. 1784. This family is believed to have settled in what was Owen County and later part of it became Clay County. John Cole did live in Owen County but have been unable to find any record of him or his family. I believe there is also a James Cole who lived in Owen County. I have a James Cole also son of William Cole. But he was born in TN also and they eventualy moved on to Iowa. Bev.
