    3. Seeking record of divorce of Andrew PITTMAN and Eliza/Elizabeth NUTTERFEE/NUTTERFIELD, between 1822 and 1830... They were married 5-23-1822, in Nelson Co., Ky., when Eliza was almost 12 yrs old...(They perhaps had 4 children) I know that some time between then and 1833, they were apparently divorced, as Andrew remarried Millie Zimmerman, 7-31-1837. Also, before 1833, Eliza remarried to a John CARTER Jr, (and proceeded to have a total of 13 children) and moved to Owen County Indiana... Any help appreciated. 2. Another distillery was run by Nicholas Devore in the northwest corner of the township for five or six years." >> This information is from the 1884 History of Owen County by Charles Blanchard re: Harrison Township, p. 815. The paragraph actually says: "In the year 1834-35, Abraham Snodgrass started a distillery on the Bailey Farm and operated it a short time, afterward moving it to Taylor township. Prior to this time, however a small distillery was constructed in the northwest corner of the township by Nicholas Devore, who manufactured "fire-water" on a limited scale for five or six years. The only other item in the county history was that Rachel Snodgrass, daughter of Abraham H. and Rachel (Dickson) Snodgrass, both of Engilsh descent, was married to Martin Scott on 28 August 1846. The abstract from the county marriages has Rachel Jane Snodgrass married Martin Scott 27 Dec 1846. Glorianne

    1. [INOWEN] Edward Elliott/Ellett b. ca1760
    2. I'm looking for the family of Edward ELLIOTT/ELLETT b. ca1760, not certain where, but the first records of him were in 1790 Tax lists of KY, compiled and published by Gaius M.Brumbaugh. Edward and Thomas ELLIOTT are listed in Mason Co.,KY. [It is believed that Thomas was a brother to Edward.] It is assumed that this Edward ELLIOTT is the same one who is listed, with Thomas ELLIOTT on the 1798 Poll Tax List of Fleming Co., for Fleming Co. was cut out of Mason County in 1798. Edward came to Monroe Co.IN [bef 1821] and settled in an area which is now known as Elletsville, which was names after him. I desc. from his daughter Sarah m. Daniel ELLIOTT thought to be the son of Thomas ELLIOTT brother of Edward, so here my ELLIOTT/ELLETTlines cross. They lived in Owen Co.IN. If anyone knows more "early" info on Edward or Thomas ELLIOTT/ELLETT N.J.Skinner White [email protected] "Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past." (Deuteronomy 32:7a)

    3. In our section on the website about Mystery Photos, I have just placed 12 more photos there for a total of 15 and I have 35 more to follow that I am working on. For those of you not knowing, a lady named Layne Powell had an ancestor named Rachel (Schindler) Klass/Glass (she married John Klass/Glass. They were from Owen county around Patricksburg, one of their daughters migrated to Utah and upon her death a large number of photos were found..some are identified and others are not. The KNOWN surnames include: KLASS, GLASS, NEEDY, SCHUMACHER, SCHUMAKER, NIESWINGER. Please remember these are only the KNOWN surnames there are many many more photos. If you are tracing any of these surnames or anyone in the Patricksburg area, it may be worth the look. She has sent the info she has and I have been labeling the others as best I can for identification purposes. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rowan/mystery.html Debbie Jennings

    1. [INOWEN] Elizabeth COOPER b. 1820 SC m. Robert F. LIVINGSTON b. ca1824 KY
    2. My GGgrandmother was Elizabeth COOPER b. 15 Sep 1820 SC.......I do not have any idea who Elizabeth's parents were?? She married Robert F. LIVINGSTON b. ca1824 KY, in Greene Co.IN 4 Sep 1844. Elizabeth and Robert had 6 children. But Elizabeth and Robert both died 1861 and 1863 respectfully. Their children were farmed out to others, none being a COOPER family. I have not been able to connect her to any of the many COOPER families that settled in Monroe, Owen or Greene Co's in IN......the area in which she lived Beech Creek Twp. was located near the area where these three counties connected. From census records, I believe it possible that she might have lived prior to her marriage with relatives, but not her parents?? Only I do not have any real proof of this. I believe that there may be a connection to the Isaac COOPER family that lived in Greene Co., but so far I have not found any concrete proof of that connection. I believe that she might have been a daughter or a neice of his.....his wife's name was Acenthia and Elizabeth named one of her daughters that name also. If you have COOPER ancestors from SC [or elsewhere] that ended up in Greene Co, Monroe or Owen Co's in IN.......do you have a female that might have fit her age in that family on the 1840 census??
