I was so excited I just HAD to share this with all of you. Jerry and Suzie have been super instrumental in getting 250 -- YES you heard that right -- 250 towns (communities) in Montgomery County -- I just sent a note a couple of days ago telling them we had 249 - Jerry added the one below and now we have the big 250. The first 100 was pretty easy - 200 not so easy and the last 10 or so have been pretty hard but since I gave the challenge, we now have 250. That's AWESOME *Center Grove *- oh, thanks Jerry T - this made the 250th town - whoopeee -- The community of Center Grove was located 3 miles southeast of Darlington. The exact location is hard to pin down but it was in sections 11, 12, 13 and 14 of Franklin Township. The Unitarian Christian church was the center point of the community until the church burned in 1864. The fire caused a division of the congregation with some (the Union Party) moving to Darlington and the others took over the United Bretherns Church in section 12 close to the county line.
