    3. Karen, This appears to me to be a type of receivable ledger. The store was apparently lending small amounts to some of its customers. The ledger shows the date the money was lent, the "No" column references the document (similar to a receipt) and the paid column indicates how (and sometimes the date) it was paid; ie; cash, check or note. The note was probably a more formal document. Basically, it looks like a store ledger of the general store in my hometown (thanks Denny McCarty for letting me borrow it :) BUT this is the kicker -- why would it be for only $5 or $10 -- there are 177 pages of this - mostly the same people. Another question is it worth my time typing all of it? Think this is the only ledger with local names -- the other ledgers (about 8 of 'em) are all that he purchased $3 of milk from Maplehurst type things - is that worth typing as well? NEED SOME OPINIONS here - help me out #1 What is this exactly (I'm wondering if he was the local go get money from place) #2 Is it worth typing the other 170 pages ? #3 what about the other ledgers http://indianagenweb.com/inmontgomery/ List Manager - inmontgo-admin@rootsweb.com ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to INMONTGO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ----- No virus found in this message. 3. I am wondering if you could just list the names in the ledger? You enjoyed seeing your gpa and great uncle listed and I'm sure others would too! Thanks for all you do Karen!! 3. Thanks, Walt -- kind of what I thought Ray that he was lending money - what a hoot ! My gpa' is in there once but my great uncle many times over. Genealogical wise, Ray, do you think I should keep typing or would people get the picture ? Or, I could go through it and just add the other ones that aren't listed yet ? 177 pages of pretty much the sameo sameo seems rather silly On 10/10/2013 2:01 PM, S. R.
