The obituaries of that time period were rarely as informative as a family researcher would wish. The first and second photocopies are from the Crawfordsville Evening Argus, January 26, 1883 (page 1, columns 4, 5, and 6). The last copy is from the Crawfordsville Saturday Evening Journal, January 27, 1883 (page 1, column 3). It would appear that Mrs. Evans was buried in Covington, Fountain County.
