That may have been an interesting story. He came to Parke County, went to Sullivan County, then came back to Parke, living in Union Twp. A son Jesse S Shelburne has no further information, but daughter Mary E Shelburne married unknown person and had Catherine Carter. Catherine outlived her spouse Fred Otis Payton, dying in 1968.
