C'ville Journal-Review 3-12-1962 - Darlington -Miss Zola Elizabeth Royer, 62, was found dead at her home here Monday evening by her nephew, Hal Royer. THe body was in night-clothing and lying in her bed. She had been dead 24 hours or longer, according to Dr. Samuel Millis, county coroner, who said an autopsy showed death due to natural causes. Born June 21, 1899, she was the daughter of Fernando W. and Dora Shumaker Royer. She was never married. Miss Royer attended school at Kirkpatrick. She lived for a period of time as a companion to Miss Ina Bowers, who died about two years ago. She was a member of the Darlington methodist Church, WSCS and MIssionary Society of the church. Surviving are two brothers, Harry Royer and John C. Royers; a niece and three nephews. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m Thursday at Bright Funeral Home here with Rev. AL Vermillion in charge. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
