Crawfordsville Journal April 7, 1934-- Miss Beatrice N. Hughes, 26, resident of this city the past two years died rather suddenly at her home 1103 W. Market Street at 6:00 Saturday morning. Miss Hughes had been in ill health for several years but her condition wa snot considered serious. Death was due to a complication of diseases. The deceased was born on a farm near Waynetown Jan 21, 1903 the daughter of Charles and Alta Schenck Hughes. She was a member of Alamo Christian Church. She moved here with her parents about two years ago, having previously lived on a farm south of Waynetown. The survivors include the parents, two grandmothers, Mrs. Nancy Hughes and Mrs. Nancy Schenck, both of Waynetown; a brother, Harry of near Waynetown; an uncle, William Hughes of near HIllsboro and a niece, Geraldine Hughes of near Waynetown. The funeral services will be held at the Waynetown Christian Church monday afternoon at 2 in charge of Rev. John Servies. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
