Crawfordsville Journal Review 4 Feb 1974 - Daisy Dean Douglas, 80, of 1810 Elmore Street died Sunday morning in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Douglas, a member of Fremont street Baptist church was born in 1893 at Bowers Station a daughter of Jack and Martha Watson Pointer. She married John R. Douglas on Nov 3, 1910. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, Mantorde, Louis Jack, David Allen and Hobart Leon, 5 daughters, Dorothy Bryant, Maxine Krout, Mary Brady, Laura Jean Douglas and Ellen Fruits; two brothers, Clifford Pointer and John Pointer; four sisters, Goldie Morrison, Grace Abney, Louise Caldwell and Pearl Zachary; 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fremont Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Shotts officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
