Crawfordsville Journal Review 1-18-1967 -- Mrs. Minnie Widener, 93, a native of Montgomery County died at 4 pm. Wednesday at her home in Coldwater, Mich. She had been in failing health 3 years. Mrs. Widner had resided in Coldwater since 1905. Prior to that she resided in Elmdale area. Born Nov 7 1873, in Coal Creek Township she was a dauaghte rof David and Miranda William Cowan. She was married to Guy O. Widener, who preceded her in death (21 Aug 1939). Surviving are two sons, John and Harold; four daughters, Hazel Widener, Alice Widener and Mrs. Ernest Wolfe and Mrs. Charles Calkin and several nieces and nephews in the Waynetown area. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ray and Paul. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Gillespie Funeral Home, Coldwater. Interment will be in Coldwater cemetery.
