Crawfordsville Journal Review 23 March 1964 -- Harold B. (Bud) Duke, 48, 612 Thornwood Rd, died Saturday afternoon in Culver Hospital after an illness of several months. Mr. Duke had 27 years service with RR Donnelley & Sons. He held executive positions in Chicago and Crawfordsville plants and was a resident manager of the plant at Willard, Ohio for several yeasr before returing to this city. A native of Waynetown, he was born November 25, 1915 to Albert and Eula Biddle Duke. He was graduated from Waynetown HS and from the Donnelley firm's apprentice program. He was married in Clermont Feb 7 1937 to June Tinsley who survives. Mr. Duke was a member of the Wabash Avnue Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge No. 385 of HIllsboro, the Shrine, Elks Lodge and American Legion. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was in the signal corps in WWII. Surviving besides the wife are the parents of Waynetown; a daughter, Linda; four sisters, Mrs. Robert Frame; Mrs. Bud Rowland III; Mrs. Donald Switzer; and Mrs. Robert Sorensen and a brother, Donald Duke. Mr. Duke was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Edward and James Daniel Duke. Friends may call at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home, where funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. John DeKruyter officiating. Interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
