Crawfordsville Journal Review ? 8 June 1953 (not in index but prety sure it's from this paper)-- Funeral services for Mrs. Ida May Deer (sic) 82, who died Saturday in her home here after a long illness, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Bpatist Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Deer was the widow of George W. Deer, a pioneer miller who for years operated Deer's Mill on Sugar Creek SW of here. She formerly was active in civic affairs of the community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and 3 daughters.
