The opening prayer was made by Dr Kane and the discourse was by Rev G W Switzer, of Lafayette, the concluding prayer being offered by Rev George W Stafford. A trio composed of Miss May Kine, Mrs Ben Crane and Miss Mary Thomson rendered several selections during the service, which was a very impressive one. The pall bearers were: Messrs. A F. Ramsey, John L Davis, A S Miller, James Wilson, Charles Goodbar, and George S Durham, of the Knights Templar. The floral offerings were magnificent among them bing four designs from the different Masonic orders of which the deceased was a member. The Citizen's bank sent a handsome basket of flowers, and there were a number of cut flowers from friends in this city and others out of the city. The flower bearers were Thomas Moffett , Charles M Travis, Eli Armetrout, JC Wicker, and Thomas Rose. At the grave in Oak Hill cemetery the full Templar service was beautifully given in the presence of a large number of knights and friends.
