Crawfordsville Journal Review April 4, 1953 - Waynetown - Mrs. Sarah S. Booe, 94, a pioneer Indiana school teacher, died Friday night at the Hart memorial Nursing Home in Crawfordsville following an illness of 8 months. Born Feb 5, 1850 in Montgomery County, Mrs. Booe was the daughter of Caleb and Caroline C. Clevenger Reath. She married Daniel Booe Nov 9, 1879. She was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. She taught for several years in the rural schools of West Central Indiana. Surviving are a daughter, Dora Alward, Alamo; a granddaughter, Mrs. Helen Isbell, Elkhart, a grandson, Paul R. Alward, Lafayette, a great grandson, Paul H. Alward, Lafayette and a brother, Elem Reath, RFD 1, Waynetown. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Wayentown with burial at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Rev John R. Servies will be the officiating minister.
