Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Sat April 25, 1891 -- "Death's Harvest" -- Mrs. Mary Southwell, aged 70 years died April 7 at her home north of the Monon station after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Southwell was 75 years old and was making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Flute McGilliard. She leaves one other daughter, Mrs. PF Hallorin, of Dayton, KY. FOr 18 years she has been a constant sufferer from rheumatism and 10 years ago asthma set in. Death was the result of an attak of the grip. She was the widow of the veteran railroader, Johnnie Southwell, who dropped dead about two years ago and who was known to everybody as the watchman of the Monon at the Market Street crossing.
