Crawfordsville Journal Review March 6 1969- Mrs. Opal Berniece Davidson, 69, of 909 Fairview Ave died Monday afternoon after an illness of five years. She had lived in Wingate until moving to Crawfordsville in 1954. She was a 1916 graduate of Wingate HS. She was a member of the Wingate Christian church. She was born Oct 1, 1897, in Richland Twp of Fountain county, a daughter of Sylvester and Mary U. Dora Twiddy Twiddy. She married Samuel E. Davidson June 11, 1919. Surviving are the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Smith; a son, WIlliam, a sister, Freeda Twiddy and 3 grandsons. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm. Wednesday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Homer Huntsinger of Lebanona officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery.
