    3. Crawfordsville Daily Journal 12 June 1903 - Jacob Fullenwider Mount died of heart failure at the home of his son in LaVerne, California on the 18th day of May 1903. The deceased was 71 years of age. He was the son of Atwell and Lucinda Mount, early pioneers of Montgomery County and a brother of the late james a. Mount. His brothers, Thomas R. Mount, Elijah C. Mount and William H. Mount surviving him and live in this county. The younger brother, Samuel Mount lives in the state of Missouri. His sisters, Elizabeth Caldwell of Neoga, ill, Frances Vannice of Boone County, Harriet McCallister and Carrie Lynch of Montgomery county survive him. He was born in Montgomery County, Feb 14, 1832 on the old Mount homestead. In his youth he attended the Waveland Academy until failing health in 1851, induced him to go to California by the overland route to seek his fortune. He remained there until 1856, when he returned to Indiana and entered Hanover College. After 3 years study there, he entered the Louisville Law School. He then moved to Iowa and settled in Ringgold County at Mt. Ayr, where he practiced law until about 1890, when he retired from active life. During the last six years he has been a resident of California. The deceased leaves 3 sons and two daughters, William E. Mount, Edwin Mount, Mark Mount, and Nellie Mount who live in California and Lucy Mount who lives inthe Philippine Islands.
