Crawfordsville Journal Review May 13, 1952 -- Charles Atie Stockton, 48, a native of Linden died Tuesday morning at his home, 211 Harrison St. He had been in failing health 5 years and seriously ill two weeks. Born Sept 18, 1903, Mr. Stock wast he son of Willard and Ollie Stockton. He married Anna English of Darlington Feb 26, 1924. He had been employed as a laborer. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. LaVada Ramsey and Mrs. Nada Demorett of Crawfordsville; four sisters, Mrs. Reba Henry ; Mrs. Margaret Conkright, , Mrs. Ruby Grader and Mrs. Nada Bottorff and two brothers, Lester and William Stockton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the PRoffitt & Sons Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. John R. Servies will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.
