    2. Hi Karen, Aaron Vancleave married Rachel Schenk 1734 in New York. I wonder if these families were distant cousins. I haven't considered studying Schenks in Montgomery County and don't know if they travelled with Vancleaves from NC.     3. Very interesting question. I went to Rootsweb and followed Isaac Schenck and Mary Thompson all of the way back to New Jersey. This Schenck line migrated through Warren County Ohio and the Montgomery County Vancleaves migrated through North Carolina and Kentucky.
